Sales brand ambassador
We're looking for a Brand Ambassador in sales who understands that. Someone who can read a room, build real trust, and help customers choose furniture that will actually earn its place in their home.
If you believe good furniture should last decades, not seasons, and that selling well means listening first, welcome to Distrikt.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer Experience & Sales
- Read the room and convert genuine interest into a sale — no scripts, no pressure, just honest guidance.
- Build real conversations grounded in the product, not a pitch.
- Meet and exceed sales targets with confidence and consistency.
- Demonstrate the craft behind each piece — the frame, the springs, the foam, the finish, so customers understand what they're paying for
Guide customers from first interest through to a piece that actually fits their space and their life. - Listen closely, understand real needs, and recommend pieces that solve for them, not just what's easiest to sell.
- Build relationships that bring customers back and bring their friends with them
Product Knowledge
- Know every frame, fabric, foam, and construction detail well enough to explain why it's built that way.
- Show customers how the furniture performs in real use — sit in it, move it, open it, test it.
- Stay close to new ranges and finishes as they launch, understanding the product is how you sell the value, not just the item.
Showroom Excellence
- Keep the showroom sharp, considered, and true to the brand. Never cluttered, never careless.
- Ensure every setup invites hands-on testing and shows the furniture at its best.
- Support visual merchandising updates with the same restraint and precision the brand is built on.
Operational Support
- Process sales, quotations, and customer data accurately through POS systems.
- Coordinate closely with the factory and logistics teams to keep deliveries on track.
- Stay ahead of stock and replenishment. No surprises, just smooth execution.
- Handle customer questions directly, and escalate what needs escalating with clarity.
Brand Representation
- Represent Distrikt with the same standard the factory holds itself to — precise, honest.
- Bring customer insight back to the team to sharpen how we sell and serve.
- Take ownership of your results and contribute to the wider momentum of the brand, including events and activations beyond the showroom floor.
What We're Looking For
- 2–4 years retail sales experience (furniture, interiors, or lifestyle brands an advantage).
- A track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- A customer-first instinct and genuine interest in exceptional service.
- Real curiosity about materials, construction, and design
- Comfortable with POS and everyday digital and social tools.
- A reliable, proactive problem-solver.
Competencies & Behaviours for Success
- Customer Focus - Gives every customer full attention. Makes people feel understood, not sold to.
- Communication - Clear, direct, and warm. Reads the room and adjusts without losing substance.
- Sales Drive - Motivated by real results, not noise. Owns their numbers and looks for ways to improve them.
- Adaptability - Comfortable with change: new products, new layouts, new systems — without losing consistency.
- Team Collaboration - Works well with others, shares what they learn, and contributes to a steady, professional floor.
- Initiative - Acts without being asked. Anticipates what the customer and the showroom need.
- Brand Standards- Represents Distrikt with the same precision and restraint the furniture is built with.
